RINI AMIRA: 2015

Hi there hello Assalamualaikum.

I didn’t yet register fr my continuation at Nottingham, which is yesterday act haha bcs classes start next week and I still feel homesick so yeah and I went shopping at Mid Valley and I bought 2 Converse!!!! Hewhew! Act I was confused whether to buy sport shoes or sneakers bcs if I buy sport shoes I can wear it fr casual and also fr sport activities, but if I buy sneakers I can only use it fr casual. But the thing is, I don’t hv enuff money to buy Nike (air max is MYR749 hehhh) huhuhuhu my budget is only below 400 (its not that I don’t hv money but I want to cut my spendings, I wanna save more) so instead I bought Converse and I bought 2 and they costed me MYR285.80 hahah k bye.

OK so here we go to my real intention on writing this post. OK so you (ok maybe not all of you) know that I have my own business and I really wanna make big profit from it. I don’t wanna just stay stagnant at the same place and do nothing to improve it, I wanna be in the B quadrant (im assuming youve read my previous post). Oh by the way! Today is 16^th September 2015, it marks a year of my business yayyy! Happy first anniversary baby boo! Hahah

FYI, Syakur (a friend of mine from form 1 in school and right now in the same university) also has business. He owns ‘Lemang Tengkolok Ent.’. Soooo we are like business partner eventho theres nothing mutual in our businesses but we both started out our businesses last year and we kinda hv the same vision and aim for our business and we gonna live happily ever after *insert a word* mueheheh. So weve discussed some of the projects we gonna do after this and one of them is we wanna open a café, InsyaAllah.

Syakur and I were thinking of collaborating our brands together and make it firm by having a café, and if we have more money we maybe will invest to have some branches, to expand our businesses. We also thought of to join with my mother’s business, Rini Bread House, so that customers will have more choice. But for now, we just stick with our plan first, two brands for now, Lemang Tengkolok and Wawa Totebag. By the way we thought of boutique café theme, how dyou guys think abt it?

Sooooooo long story short, to own a café, idk how much the cost of a café right now is, but we are targeting to hv at least 10k (5k each) in our savings next year. Ive done some calculations, to have 5k in a year, Ive to save at least MYR416.70 in a month, or 96.15 in a week, or 13.74 in a day hikhokkk (or even 57 cent in an hour hahah). And ive listed how im going to save (and earn) money that much in a month (consistently, I hope):

spend less, earn more
an efficient and effective monthly tracking
boost income (part time gigs)
“im going to hit it!”

Umm I think all of them are quite okay and not “duhh” ideas. But what I hope most is ill have a great kick start and be consistent in doing this and stay motivated along the way. insyaAllah!

Hello hewhew ^^

When I was working at POPULAR, I always secretly flipped through the books that customers rejected, when I was doing nothing, when theres no customer at the counter, and more importantly when theres no manager or supervisor around heheh. Im quite selective over books, so not all of the books that I flipped through really caught my attention. Some of the books that managed to impress me are ‘If I Stay’ by Gayle Forman; ‘Saving Danny’ by Cathy Glass; and ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ by Robert T. Kiyosaki. So right now I wanna write abt ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’, abt Robert T. Kiyosaki.

What I can say about this book is, it really engaged me, like really. Robert knows how to catch his readers’ eyes and minds with his words. One of the quotes that I like from this book is;

My poor dad said to me, “go to school, get good grades, and get a good company to work for.” While my rich dad said to me, “go to school, get good grades, and buy a good company.”

I just felt like it’s a woarghhhhhh, #deep quote. Idk what you guys think abt it but I think its somehow kinda motivational quote, yeah.

So basically Rich Dad Poor Dad is a basic for those who want to know more about business and entrepreneurship world. I didn’t really intend to read this kind of book when I (accidentally) flipped and skimmed through it. But yeah just as I said earlier, I got engaged with this book bcs Robert’s words are ‘sharp’ haha, and eventually (luckily) I gained something decent from it. He said that going to college and get good degree and get high pay alone are not sufficient to support our lives in current condition.

Right now im reading CASHFLOW Quadrant also by Robert T. Kiyosaki, and im loving it.

Reading CASHFLOW Quadrant make me realise that there are 4 types of quadrant in our lives, and I am in S quadrant (that is bcs I have my own business yet don’t have any workers). The cashflow quadrant looks like this,

Cashflow quadrant

E = Employees, people who work, waiting for paycheck

S = Self-employed, people who have business, people who do all the works from A to Z, people who don’t have workers to work for them

I = Investor, people who invest for business, or system, in this quadrant, money works for them

B = Business (system), people who own a business and a system, people who have workers, in this quadrant, people work for them, and money work for them as well. They can leave their business (say) for a year and come back later and still get money in that duration.

As you can see, E and S quadrants are at the left side, while I and B quadrants are at the right side. For those who are in the left side quadrants, when they got promotion, they got higher pay, they have to work harder, thus their time would be less and less, eventhough it brings them more and more money. But it’s the opposite of those who are in the right side quadrant. When they got higher promotion, they don’t have to work harder, bcs they have people working for them, and plus it brings them more and more money. Being in right side quadrant brings you financial freedom. Thats one of the advantages of being in right side quadrant, work less, profit more.

OK so I did mention that financial freedom term so i had to explain what it is abt. From what I understand, financial freedom is when you no longer need to do any physical working in order to gain money, bcs people are working for you, and you have system, that’s why Robert said that only people in right side quadrants can gain financial freedom. Financial freedom can be gained in three stages, financial struggle to financial security financial freedom.

All books written by Robert T. Kiyosaki are highly recommended for those who are or who are not into business bcs all of his books are REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD AND YOU JUST HAVE TO READ IT. So yeah that’s all I think. Im on my way to finish this CASHFLOW Quadrant book, and btw theres one more book in queue, The Conspiracy of The Rich. Cant wait to read it next!

Paradox. Paradox is a contradiction. People seem to be jealous of what we have, seem to be jealous of our happiness succeed in achieving what we want, wish to be like who we are, idolize us so much that they always ask for so-called tips to be like us, look upon us as (somewhat an) inspiration, when actually, we ourselves know that all that exteriors that had been portrayed are not as good as they seem to be, and we ourselves know that we are not that happy as they claimed us to be.

Paradox (for me) somehow is like an expectation. People think we are happy bcs we got what we get? People think we are happy bcs of the ‘peace’ and ‘smile’ poses in those instagram posts? How can they determine happiness based on those 2 secs smile? Haha.

(Im not saying that im excel in my studies though but) when people keep asking me the same question, “macam mana kau study weh?”, “macam mana kau divide masa kau weh?”, “jeles ah dengan kau, kau berjaya, semua benda kau dapat”, I get irritated. At first yeah I can still be cool to answer all those questions. At first for me, those questions, in terms of more proper and more precise question that they should ask is, “how do you manage your time?”. So I was okay to answer. But when I was jammed with the same questions on and on and on, made me rethink of the real meaning and hidden meaning from those questions. They are expecting to be me.

You just have to do what you love. And you just have to love what you do. That’s all bro, sis. Theres no point if you try to copy me to be like who I am, and at the end you confused with your own self bcs you get what you don’t want to. just do what you love, bcs eventually you’ll get in love with your own self, and eventually too you will get what you want, and even if you don’t, you will still be happy bcs you did what you love, trust me J

And I do feel uneasy when people put high expectation on me. Since I was in high school it’s always like that. bcs of the ‘first name’ of my school. *sigh*. And now im in university, still, people expect me to always score in my every single tests and exams. i get fed up sometimes, bcs when I got low marks they thought I was joking. Hello mannn im still a human, I have my ups and downs too. Zzzz

Hi there, how have you been so far? I hope everything went well, according to what you planned. But, if there’s something that doesn’t go well, just don’t give up, get up and cheer, it doesn’t mean that you failed to do or get something you want, but there’s something better awaiting you in the future ;)

I really really wanna study medic. I’ve been thinking about this ever since I was in standard 5. Why in standard 5? I think that was 2007, when Dr Muszaphar, Malaysia’s very first astronaut, was launched to ISS (International Space Station). If you read my previous entry, you will realise that there’s one entry that I wrote about him. But in case you just read my blog so I just write in short about him here. Dr Muszaphar is an orthopaedic surgeon; he’s a medical officer at HUKM (Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia). He was an ex MRSM Muar student, which influenced me to study at MRSM when I was in form 1, and I even wanted to apply Muar but my mother didn’t let me to do so. Dr Muszaphar had his astronautical training at Moscow, Russia.

I just finished my foundation years and right now I’m pursuing biomedical science degree. But, biomedical science isn’t the same as medic. It’s kinda related but it’s not related. If I still wanna be a doctor, I have to add another 4 years to be a doctor. So I will have two degrees though. Biomedical science and medic. I applied for this course after I got good results in my MARA trial SPM exam. My results qualified me to apply for Skim Pelajar Cemerlang (SPC), I did wanna apply medic, but I didn’t get an A for my bio, I got B+ *sob sob*. To apply medic, I gotta get straight A’s for my trial. And trial MARA is damn hard and idk what to comment about that haha. So yeah, I didn’t apply for medic instead I applied for biomedical science at Nottingham bcs I thought they both are related.

And after SPM, I did wanna apply for medic using my SPM results, but I felt afraid to do so bcs I already got the SPC from MARA, and if I wanna apply for something else, I’m afraid that that would make it complicated. Yeah I know I’m being afraid of something I’m not sure about but yeah, silly me. Pathetic, I know. So I didn’t apply and continue study biomed and I became more unsure about this course, I became less excited to study bcs I kept thinking about medic course. I think this is what they said about identity crisis. Teenagers, hesitate and not sure to make decision.

After I finished foundy, I searched for medic course in the internet, and found one consultant and I contacted her and she told me the total cost to study medic at Russia is RM260k (after converting Russia USD currency to MYR), which is wayyyy much more cheaper than my biomed course. And I became more excited to know that the course is in Russia, place that I wanna study medic so so much. I asked some of my friends about changing course. Most of the people I asked succeed in changing their course. I then called MARA but didn’t get proper reply from them. I called them again and still the same respond. I tried to call them again and still the same results.

So yesterday I went to MARA HQ to meet the Bahagian Penganjuran Pelajaran in charged person to ask about my enquiry. After explained to him about my situation, he then said that I can’t change my course. Firstly, to apply medic using foundation results (fyi, Nottingham and Monash univ use percentage in our transcript, not pointer), I have to meet 80% average, which is very far from my results. And even if I passed that 80% average requirement, I have to wait for next year application. Secondly, it will make it complicated as I have to change university and they already paid for my degree year at notts. I then said to him that I don’t want to apply medic under mara, I want to apply the private one, just that I want to apply sponsorship from MARA, because they already had allocation from me, and I just wanna use that allocation, it’s just that I wanna change course and university. I even presented to him the total cost to study medic at Russia. He then said it can’t be done that way. If I wanna reapply the sponsorship, I have to wait for next year, after the scheme application is opened. But he then added, “If you want your pathway goes smooth, you just have to abide and follow the agreement”.

So in short, I can’t change my course.

And I was really not in the mood yesterday on my way back home. I felt really disappointed. I didn’t answer my mom’s question when I reached home, I straight went to my room and sit and tears fell upon my cheeks. Seriously though, I wanna study medic. So much.

And at that night, I scrolled my Instagram, and found this,

I felt better after that, I feel like I have a new life, haha. I feel like, I’m okay with what I went through just now, I just have to go on and move on, I just have to follow the path He planned for me, I just have to believe in Him that this is the best He gives me ;) I felt optimist after that, LIKE SERIOUSLY! I felt that, “it’s okay to continue medic after getting degree in biomedic, I can have two degree scrolls in my hand, hewhew”.

So yeah, what I wanna tell you guys is, it’s not that you failed, maybe your past made your future doesn’t go well, but don’t curse your past, you just have to go with the flow, follow through, believe in Him, try to do the best you can, and let Him do the rest you can't. Assalamualaikum.

Nametag gueee

I work as cashier at popular bookstore ioi mall puchong hewhew. Start 3 jun 2015 hari rabu haha. My basic salary is 1xxx and including the allowances etc etc so up to 1xxx which is loads I think. My working routine starting from 930am to 10pm, that’s for full time shift. For morning shift, 930am to 645 pm. For afternoon shift, from 130pm to 10pm. Dalam seminggu tu akan ada tiga kali full shift, sekali morning shift, sekali afternoon shift, dua hari off rest. Tapi kalau ada ot, so akan alter sikit lah jadual tu. Pagi aku pergi naik bas rapidkl bayar singgit balik malam pun singgit tapi kalau pakai touch n go jimat sikit sebab dapat diskaun 20% so 8 posen je haa.

Best do kerja ni so far. Sebab kan, aku rasa macam aku dah tak duduk dalam surrounding yang aku dah biasa. Maksudnya macam, before ni kan aku duduk asrama, jarang keluar rumah, so persekitaran aku macam orang yang belajar sahaja. Haa cemtu. Tapi bila dah kerja ni kan, mata aku jadi luas. Aku jumpa macam macam jenis orang. Walaupun tak la macam macam jenis sangat pun but yeah still, bukan orang yang daripada persekitaran yang aku dah biasa.

Btw why do I work at popular is bcs khasrina upload gambar kat instagram and aku rasa macam ada kawan so aku apply situ la hahaha. Who is khasrina tho? Haaa khasrina ni kawan setadika aku la which tak jumpa since 6 tahun and baru jumpa balik lepas aku dah kerja ni and can you imagine for how long weve not seen each other but still nampak kamceng nampak macam gang time kat popular tu. The bond babe, the bond. Kahkah

And aku ada kawan baik kat sana nama dia syuhada azri. Kan aku pernah cakap kan I do hv lots of friends tapi kawan baik macam kureng sikit. Tapi bagi aku, syuhada ni kawan yang baik ahaa. Sebab entah, dua minggu kenal and aku rasa macam aku selesa dengan dia. Bila dia cerita pasal life dia aku rasa macam woarghh, for serious la hidup kau cemtu? Tapi tak la aku cakap kat dia, it was just macam, aku terkejut and terkesima bila kawan aku, orang yang aku kenal ada kisah macam tu. Which is why I feel that bila bekerja ni adalah satu peluang untuk bukak mata aku.

Nak cakap best tu, tak la best sangat kerja tu. Tapi working is fun when your colleagues are fun haha. Penat wei kerja takyah cakap, dah la kena bangun pagi pastu bila malam pulak dah penat kerja pergi kejar bas tunggu bas tak sampai sampai pastu sampai rumah pulak nak dekat pukul 12 tup tap tup tap tidur pukul 2 bangun esok pagi pagi kerja lagi and so on.

Nak cakap pasal customer? Tak pernah kena marah ke dengan customer? Mana ada tak pernah kena marah. Siap pernah kena complaint lagi haha. Customer ni semua dia ingat dia betul. Apa je staf buat walaupun sebenarnya tak salah pun nampak salah jugak, and kalau betul betul kita tak salah pun kitaa jugak yang kena mintak maaf kat dia bla bla. Customer ni banyak songeh, aku ni dah la cashier, macam macam customer nak tanya adoii pening kepala aku haha.

So routine as a cashier is, pagi pagi masuk kerja punch card, ada briefing jap setengah jam, ada department update pasal product diorang. Nanti dah habis briefing, nanti cashier ambik float. Float tu maksudnya, dalam tu ada duit tukar yang kena letak dalam drawer cash machine tu. Kiranya nanti dalam drawer tu ada la duit untuk kau bagi balance kat customer. Means macam, contoh la ada customer beli buku total dia 39.70, pastu bagi 50 ringgit, so kalau ko tak masukkan float, cana nak bagi balance dia kan? Haa so tu la function float tu. Dalam satu beg float tu ada rm500. Ada 5 sen ada 10 sen ada 2 posen ada 5 posen ada singgit ada 5 ringgit and 10 ringgit. Ko kena kira la semua tu bagi cukup 500 ringgit. Kalau tak cukup, kena bagitahu supervisor.

Sementara aku kira kira float aku tu, nanti ada sorang supervisor yang akan masukkan float entry 500 dalam ibm tu. Ibm tu yang computer yang cashier dok scan scan barang tu hah haaa. Pastu I have to sign dua kertas tu untuk bagitahu yang ada 500 ringgit dalam drawer tu haa. Pastu after habis settle float semua, then start la tunggu cutomer datang. Bcs I work at a bookstore, so ada la macam macam jenis voucher. Baucar buku 1 malaysia la, popular gift voucher la, value off coupon la, etc etc. and I have to know la which button yang aku kena tekan bila cust bayar pakai voucher.

So bila dah peak hour, memang long queue la cerita dia. Ramai nau nau cust datang berderet deret. And I have to stay cool. Bcs when I don’t, when I started to panic, some bad thing will happen hahaha. Nanti ada double scan la, visa tertekan master la master tertekan visa la epos tertekan master visa la etc etc. Habis kena banyak refund hmm hmm. (Refund tu pebenda pulak ahhh malas aku nak cerita refund tu apa and cana). And biasanya kalau dah banyak sale, duit 50 dengan 100 akan berkepuk kepuk kan. So nanti akan ada satu function ni, yang indicate yang duit 50 dengan 100 tu perlu diangkat, nama process ni cl, cash lift. Kalau duit kecik kecik tak cukup, aku tukar la. Kalau cukup, takyah la tukar. Haa seronok bila ada supervisor ambik cl, sebab kita nampak amount tu berapa,. Bila banyak, rasa seronok, sebab kita ni cashier yang boleh diharap ahaa. Sampai kadang kadang up to 3000 total duit 50 dengan 100 (tu tak termasuk total yang pakai kad kredit, this is for cash only). Haa so gitu la, kalau hari tu sale banyak, so banyak kali la jugak cl akan diambik.

Bila malam pulak, lepas tutup kedai, first thing yang cashier kena buat is kira float. Sebab esok next cashier pulak nak pakai float. (note: float tu diletakkan dalam satu beg yang ada cip kat zip dia, and cashier tak boleh ambik float yang dia pakai semalam). So maksudnya aku kena la kira duit 500 ringgit, starting dengan duit paling kecik sampai duit paling besar. Kena habiskan syiling dulu, tak boleh start dengan duit besar. Dah habis kira float, double check (tapi selalu aku kira sampai 5 kali untuk confirmkan amount hahaha), and nanti akan ada supervisor kira balance duit yang lebih lebih tu, buat total report detail report and settlement of credit debit card, kira voucher semua, totalkan, and key in dalam system. And nanti akan keluar result lah whether aku short ke over. Nama report ni x report. Short tu maksudnya amount tu kurang compared to sale dalam system, kalau over tu maksudnya amount tu lebih daripada dalam system. Kalau short, aku kena bayar amount short tu, kalau over, kau check lah balik float kau takut float tak cukup 500. And kalau ada yang tak ok, supervisor kena kira balik and key in balik and print x report yang baru tu, sampai la ok. Kalau ok, supervisor akan print z report, yang maksudnya itu dah confirm.

Pastu balik laa and aku pun start la terkejar kerja bas hahaha. And esok pun start la hari yang macam tu jugak.

Hi everyone! Assalamualaikum how are you doing? I hope everything is fine hee.

Well, yeah, it has been a while since my last post hahaha. Don't blame me for that because my internet connection at home is not as fast as at Nottingham. (and yeah I'm having my three weeks break right now, which actually only a week left before I start my new semester)

Sooo, I'm here today to share what did I do during these semester break. I am helping my sister to run her totebag business zzeahh. But before that, do you know what totebag is?

So basically, this is a plain totebag. You can paint on it, you can draw any design you want, with any colour you want, you can dye it, or even you can wear it plain.

My sister is very good in drawing, colouring, and etc. And I can actually say that she is really gifted in this arts thingy, which is very different from me though hahaha. I even got C for my seni which leads to the dropping of my pointer back then in maktab, hehhhh

So because of my sister is veeeeeeeery good in arts, and my mother suggested that she turns her idea into moneyyyh. At first, my mother thought of tshirt printing. And after some discussion, we agreed of the idea with totebag designing. And my sister was okay with that.

So I ordered 10 plain totebags from one of the igshops, (@comeseestreet if I'm not mistaken) for her to try out on those totebags. She bought arcrylic paints and some other art stuffs which suitable on fabric. FYI, we can't use normal paint colour on fabric, the colour won't retain.

Long story short, she received a lot of order from her friends, from my friends, and even got an order for 100 totebags!

And this semester break, I am helping her promoting our brand.

So, it is kind of exciting to be part of this business thingy. But, once you are into it, you will be busy, and maybe at some particular time, you will be extremely busy. But one thing that I learnt from business is, patience. You are dealing with a lot of customers. So when you are dealing with a lot of customers, you will find a lot of attitudes, some are good, some are bad, some are negotiable, some are not. Well, that's life.

My last word for this entry, bak kata pepatah, banyak udang banyak garam, banyak orang banyak ragam.
